About Us

Advocacy for Mining Community and Development (AMCaD) is a non-governmental organization that focuses on youth, women development and also handle peculiar issues in the mining communities. It has been in existence since 2020 and established to advocate, train, mentor, empower and nurture the youth to be a better version of themselves.

The AMCaD Initiative is to make sure people in our mining communities have access to clean water, food, medical care, education, good environment and work.

It is our goal to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged people by means of holistic, sustainable support programs and to enable them to live their lives with dignity

Our aim is to seek empowerment, behavioral change and development among women/youth and children to improve upon their quality of life through training, education, nurturing and support for sustainable development.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

  • To promote development and advocate for value – chain creation in empowering the people especially the youth to be relevant in the mining communities.
  • To provide skills training, event and pageant, and livelihood empowerment programs to people in the mining community.
  • To facilitate quality community, environment and sanitation education to support environmental sustainability and safety among communities.
  • To collaborate and work in participatory relationships with government institutions and agencies, international organisations, NGO, CBO, FBO’s in our operations.

Make an active impact for the growth and development in our Mining communities and equal opportunities for all people, no matter where they were born, gender or race

Education

We support vulnerable or marginalized children by giving them access to basic education (informal and alternative schooling), to primary, secondary and high school, and eventually to university.

Health

To provide Basic health care to the deprived to make life better for them, good health care awareness (hygiene, health, genital mutilation)
